Local businesses are being invited to apply for the Rutland Biz Club award, designed to encourage and support local enterprise.
Applicants should be able to demonstrate a significant contribution to the local business community in the last twelve months. This can include community involvement and social responsibility where appropriate. The award is open to any individual (provided they are over the age of 18 on the date of entry), partnership, company or organisation. The winning entrant must have contributed to the local business community within a 25 mile radius of Uppingham.
All entries will be judged by a panel of the Rutland Biz Club committee, including the sponsor, the Falcon Hotel, Uppingham. A trophy and £500 to spend on an original piece artwork designed by a local artist will be awarded to the winner at The Rutland Biz Club lunch in November.
Biz Club President Geoffrey Pointon said: “The Biz Club Award is celebrating its tenth year. We would love to hear from local people who have helped to encourage, grow and support local businesses, or someone who has developed their own business creating employment and enterprise. Rutland has a terrific number of successful start-up businesses and we want to acknowledge and promote the great entrepreneurial spirit that exists in the county.”
