Baroness Sandip Verma, a Conservative member of the House of Lords since 2006, is a prominent figure in British politics and a tireless advocate for diversity, equality, and social justice. Over the years, she has held influential ministerial roles, including Parliamentary Under Secretary of State at both the Department for International Development (DFID) and the Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC). Additionally, she has served as a spokesperson in the Lords for critical areas such as International Development, Equalities, and Business Innovation and Skills.

Baroness Verma has been instrumental in spearheading initiatives to combat global violence against women, promoting gender equity, and championing inclusive workplace cultures. Her work reflects her deep commitment to empowering underrepresented communities and driving systemic change at both national and international levels.

Beyond politics, Baroness Verma’s entrepreneurial spirit shines. At just 19, she founded a successful high-fashion wholesale business, showcasing her acumen for leadership and innovation. Born in India and raised in Leicester after moving to the UK as a child, she continues to be a strong advocate for creating opportunities and ensuring representation for all.
